A Bit About Me

I have danced from the time I was three until I was thirteen years old. I’ve been in several musicals and plays.  In my free time I take theater class at Pure in Charleston SC and improv at Theatre 99 I also enjoy independent film festivals.  I have been a creative writing major at Charleston County School of the Arts since the sixth grade. This is a daily intensive writing program that is an honor to be a part of. As part of the program I will be writing another book as part of the 12th grade graduation program and I may try to sneak another one in before then.

Chapel

In her small and religiously driven hometown in 80’s Georgia, Delila Chapel is forced into womanhood from the discovery of her teenage pregnancy. Keeping her child safe from the bearings of where she was raised means fighting for her own life and dignity. In this whirlwind story of survival, strength, and redemption, Delila is bound to her husband, who is not the father of her child, the struggle of religion placed on Delila’s shoulders, balancing on her belief of right and wrong. When family secrets lead her to face the woman she is, an unruly relative apart of her past will do whatever it takes to free Delila and her daughter from the life that they are made to live.
